I am an alternative therapist focusing mainly on Reiki practice and energy-based healing modalities.  My passion for alternative wellness grew out of my own experience of ill health and being turned away by conventional medicine as a hopeless case.  

I'm from Scotland and moved to Maine two years ago with my Mainer husband, John.  

What I love most about living in Maine is the vast and varied natural landscape - the coastline, mountains, trees and lakes - with enough exploring to keep a girl happy for many years.  

 

 

Why did you choose Portland? It's close to everything you could want, and a great base to explore the coast and inland. It's also foodie heaven.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Take them out to eat, of course.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? The Portland Public Library. I have an affinity with libraries; they are full of wonder and potential. If you have a library card, and use it, you are sure to have an adventure.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? The vegan wontons at The Green Elephant.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? The Holy Donut in the Old Port. Traditional Maine potato donuts in amazing flavors? Yes please!
