I'm a visual virtuoso.

Job Graphic designer & photographer / L.L.Bean & Jamie Mercurio Photography

Lives In Munjoy Hill

I'm an associate graphic designer at L.L.Bean and owner/photographer at Jamie Mercurio Photography- a wedding and portrait photography business I started in 2012 after moving back to Portland.

I grew up in Southern Maine, and when I finished high school I couldn't get out of here fast enough! I attended college in Rhode Island and spent a semester in Rome studying photography under an Italian photojournalist and traveling. But Maine has a strange way of calling you back, and when I finished school I was itching to return to my home state.

I'm pretty sure Portland is the Greatest Place on Earth.

The creative support in this community is unreal, and over the past two years I've been lucky to be able to meet many talented people I now call friends.

When I'm not behind a camera lens or at my desk, I like to take advantage of the amazing yoga studios in town, and the amazing food and drink scene!

Why did you choose Portland? I loved the city vibe coupled with the close proximity to beaches and woods

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Anyone who has started his or her own business. Everyone who was willing to connect with me when I moved here and nerd-out about about digital art and photography even though we had never met previously

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Show off the amazing food scene Portland has to offer!

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? .....GoBerry......definitely GoBerry.
