Lives In Scarborough

For most of my life I have been surrounded by storytelling. Surrounded by family and later friends who felt documenting the day to day, telling the story of your life is important. Not only big days like weddings but smaller days, like the time you learned to ride a bike without training wheels. For me, photos almost always accompany these stories. Photos are a powerful thing; they can bring back emotions and feelings from that very day.

I have been the storyteller, tradition keeper, picture taker in my family for a long time; long before I even picked up a camera I knew these things were important. Now I share that belief and my talents with my clients.

A little over 6 years ago I moved to Maine and left my southern New England roots behind. As a foodie I couldn’t have picked a better spot than Portland (Hello Fore Street!). As a storyteller I wanted to be near the stories I wanted to tell, so Scarborough keeps me really close to my family.  As a wedding photographer I can’t think of a prettier place to make pictures – from the rocky coast to the mountains to the Berkshires, I think New England is the prettiest spot on earth. Everyone has a story! What’s yours?

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Eat! We enjoy showing friends and family who come to visit all the great food in Portland and even just a little outside of Portland. Our other favorite activity is one of the Casco Bay Ferry boats. The sunrise cruise in the summer is our favorite but for an June afternoon you can't beat the mail ferry!

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Eastern Prom - winter or summer I can't think of a prettier place.
