Lives In Portland

Since 2000, I have owned and operated Aucocisco Galleries and have been presenting artists who have a significant connection to the state of Maine - particularly artists for whom the state plays a significant role in their visual identity.

Why did you choose Portland? Portland is my hometown and it chose me!

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Pretty much everyone - I just love people!

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Take them out to the islands on a Casco Bay Lines ferry!

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Why Aucocisco Galleries of course!

What's the most surprising thing about this city? It's people.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Foley's Bakery!

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Our islands in Casco Bay!

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Portland's "First Friday Art Walk" and then the Portland Farmer's Market!

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Monument Square!
