This one-night exhibit celebrates the photographic arts community. Our free, open submission event welcomes the broadest collection of photographers locally and nationally. The blend of emerging talent with established photographers consistently draws collectors, curators and galleries locally and beyond.

Our event will be hybrid again this year. With our online and in person auction, bids can be entered remotely from anywhere, though we encourage everyone to join us in person at the event. Bids open on Dec 13th at 6pm and begin to close at 8pm EST.

Since its debut in 2000, Photo A-GoGo has become one of southern Maine’s most anticipated annual arts events – the dynamic evening entails live music, local drinks and eats, and a space full of old and new friends and powerful photography.


Photo A-GoGo directly supports The Bakery’s public darkrooms and digital-lab photo finishing facilities in Portland, Maine. Our priorities this year include funding for our educational workshops, community programming, and artist-lectures series. The Bakery Photographic Collective is a 501(c)3 non profit art organization that provides the resources and support to artists working within the photographic medium to create and hone their skills. Since our doors have reopened in our Portland, Forest Avenue location, we have had over 400 individual artists utilize our public resources to make photographic works come to life and be shared. We are proud to acknowledge and celebrate our 25th anniversary this year.

This year’s GoGo features live music by King Memphis, and we have a few new surprises coming for those who will be attending in person. Of course, the true highlight of the evening is the work of established and emerging photographers at incredible prices for a great cause!
