I am very excited to announce the first annual "Maine Mural Festival" this year! More than 30 talented local and regional artists will paint murals on multiple walls together over the course of 3 days (Friday-Sunday) accompanied by food trucks and music. I am hopeful that this event will grow annually to encompass more walls and include more local music performances, more food trucks, and other art related events scheduled for the same weekend all over the city! 

 

*This event is COMPLETELY FREE TO THE PUBLIC, and is meant to bring bright, vibrant art to Portland annually while creating a safe, colorful gallery of large-scale artworks in the heart of the city.

DATE: Friday, August 15th through Sunday August 17th

​

TIME: The music and painting will kick off at 10:00AM each morning and will end between 9:00PM and 10:00PM each evening, all 3 days of the festival.

​

LOCATION: The event will be held along the bike path behind Beacon Community Crossfit and Portland Power Yoga in the East Bayside area of Portland, Maine. 04101. The walls that are included in the festival will all be painted black in preparation for the artists/artwork. 

​

FOOD TRUCKS: The food trucks will come and go as they please on each of the 3 days and will hopefully be around during meal times, most likely lunch and dinner each day. They will be located centrally along Cove Street very close to the bike path and walls being painted. They will all be in one area right on the corner of Cove Street and the Bike Path in the East Bayside.
