RWS Administrative and Event Internship--Spring/Summer 2024
Title: RWS Administrative and Event Internship Application
Hours: 7-8 per week
Weekdays and occasional event days on weekends (required to be at Print Jam on July 14th and 20th)
Salary: $19 per hour
Start date: mid-May/June 1, 2024
Desired length of time; until August, 2024 or when returning to school (if student)
Responsible to: Owner/Director and other staff
Deadline: April 1, 2024 or until filled

Running With Scissors Studios, a multi-disciplinary work space serving 80+ artists and fine crafts people, is looking for a creative, organized, self-motivated Administrative & Event Intern to support the administrative staff on a project based internship centered around the annual Steamy Summer Print Jam, a community wide art happening. RWS Studios provides artist members access to equipment including printmaking, woodworking, ceramics and other general services, private and common work space, pre and post production equipment and space, access to community benefits and other amenities are available as well as participation in studio events, community activities and social marketing.
 
Requirements:
- Work a minimum of 50 hours over 3 months - preferably 7-8 hours of weekly scheduled studio assistance
- Commit to a 2 - 3 month period with an option to renew
- Able to start by June 1 through August 1st (possibly earlier start and later end date if needed)
- Ability to work on July 14th with a rain date of July 20th during the Steamy Summer Print Jam 8am - 3 pm
- Ability to lift 50lbs and willingness to do hands-on manual work (occasionally)
- Knowledge of department if desiring access to equipment and tools
- Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Suite, social media and marketing skills a bonus but not required

Internship responsibilities:
-Report to Admin and Department Staff
-General administrative duties may include communications and artist relations, social media assistance, copying, reporting, data entry, website assistance, marketing and distribution assistance, event planning, implementing and assessing, cleaning tasks, organization, and tidying
- Opportunity for self-directed projects if staff and interns feel applicable
- Assist with the planning, prep, and implementation of the Steamy Summer Print Jam and other events
