Five dancers and live marimba fill the ballroom for an hour of contemporary dance performed in the round. Choreographed by award-winning Jenny Oliver and scored by acclaimed marimbist Steph Davis, the piece moves from melancholy reflection toward acceptance, unity, and joy, blending West African and African American musical traditions.
