[Americans for the Arts](https://www.americansforthearts.org/) has released the findings from their 6th Arts & Economic Prosperity Survey (AEP6) and the numbers reinforce the HUGE impact that the arts have on our economy and our social well-being. 

Portland’s nonprofit arts and culture industry generated $86.0 million in economic activity in 2022! That economic activity – $58.2 million in spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations and $27.8 million in event-related spending by their audiences – supported 1,872 jobs and generated $20.7 million in local, state, and federal government revenue. Creative Portland thanks all the local organizations who partnered with us to collect data for this survey, putting numbers to the story we know is true: that the arts have a serious impact!
