Business Basics for Artists | Tax Essentials

The next workshop in the Professional Development Series is Tax Essentials. This series of workshops on business basics for artists is presented by Creative Portland, Maine College of Art, and Maine Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts with generous funding by the Quimby Family Foundation.


Who should attend
This session is focused on financial basics and tax preparation for artists (emerging to established), musicians, designers and other creatives. Topics will include but will not be limited to : record-keeping, expenses and income tracking, deductions and credits for creatives, inventory tracking, understanding the hobby loss rule, tips on managing and organizing your creative practice.
