Opening Minds Through Art (OMA) is an intergenerational art program for people with dementia. The exhibition features collaborative work of Elder Teachers from The Cedars Retirement Community whom are affected by dementia and their counterparts, university students from UNE and USM, who work together one-on-one creating contemporary art. The mission is to build bridges across age and cognitive barriers through art. This year, Oak Street Studios' young artists, ranging in age from 4-13, are collaborating with the OMA program to create a contemporary installation

Tools for Living is an exhibit exploring the language of furniture and garments. This body of work questions the purpose of these functional forms and how they relate to our day-to-day lives. There is something special about our favorite spatula and jacket, we create bonds with these tools, they become imbued with marks and memories of all the times shared... We are interested in unspoken connections between humans and objects.
