Lives In Deering Center

I've always liked to write. I've tried to do other things, wetland surveying, marine construction, bartending, but I always come back to writing.

Why did you choose Portland? I was recruited to come work up here. One of the best decisions I ever made.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Currently, my favorite Portlanders are my wife, Tracy, a graphic designer, and our daughter, Annabelle. They kind of make everything worth-while. I'm a big fan of everything going on over at Might & Main. Those guys are always into something great. Also a fan of Bunker Brewing. Delicious.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Ferry to Peaks. Two Lights Lobster Shack. Eastern Prom.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? I love everything about Munjoy Hill.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? The amount of insanely interesting small businesses and the great people that started them.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Mama's Crow Bar.
