Lives In The West End

By day, I write content and run Hannaford Supermarkets' social media channels, which is a natural fit considering my passion for writing and food. I also have a growing business, Woehler Communications, where I help clients with social media and content marketing strategy. My creative side hustles include writing and wellness coaching. It's rewarding to live in a city that embraces entrepreneurial and creative spirits as much as it does established businesses - both big and small.

I love living in the West End, where I can walk out my door and wander around our small city, discovering new places to eat, people watch, and listen to music.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Early morning walks en route to East End Beach.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? All the unexpected connections you have with people you meet. It really is a big small town.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? The Tokyo Aburo at Pai Men Miyake or the vegan cake at Silly's.

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Dinner at the bar at Fore Street, strolling around, dessert at Bar of Chocolate, more strolling around, taking in some jazz at Blue, followed by a walk home back in the West End.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Tandem Bakery, which is just a stone's throw from my place. I always bump into someone I know there, even if my primary reason is for the scrumptious scones (rosemary plum is my fave).
