Lives In Portland

I moved to Portland in 2008 and immediately began working with autistic and special needs children in the Cape Elizabeth school system. There, I contributed additional time with families and the local community as the girls soccer coach. In 2012 I became a Realtor to help Portland area families buy or sell their homes with a professional and fun experiance. I get to meet new people and make new friends while helping families find their place.

I identify with people of all walks of life and backgrounds, and I strive to maintain individual relationships. I enjoy meeting others in the community, experiencing the great eateries and watering holes in Portland, as well as hiking, camping, and exploring all that Maine's coast has to offer. I love to help in any way, so please get in touch if you are new to Portland or have been here for a while and want a new connection or advice.

Why did you choose Portland? I spent my teen years in New Hampshire and loved to drive up to Portland for some fun. As an adult I would come visit friends and felt so happy when I was here. I love that you are 20 minutes from beaches and close to hiking and nature, yet there is this great vibrant downtown at your finger tips.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? People that have strived to make it here. It is easy to go to MA or CT and make a lot of money. But to live in Maine and feel comfortable and to find a career that makes you happy. That is admirable.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? A trip to Portland Head Light is usually a must for those from far away. The classic lighthouse attraction. After- drinks at one of the great watering holes- Sonnys, Salvage, Portland Lobster Company(in the summer) then dinner at one of the seemingly endless choices for dinner- Fore Street, Blue Spoon, Local 188. .. the list goes on. Dancing somewhere fun and, of course, more food in the morning at Hot Suppah, Bintliffs, or Schulte & Herr (bring your own bubbly and OJ!) Tasting at Rising Tide. A bike ride around the Eastern Prom renting bikes from Portland Gear Hub. Paddling at Portland Paddle on the Eastern Prom. Maine Brew Bus Tour. Endless amounts of fun here.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Eastern Prom, the path all around it. Beautiful!

What's the most surprising thing about this city? Not enough outdoor places to eat or drink on the water. I love Portland Lobster Company, but it gets mobbed with tourists.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Chocolate Stout cupcakes from Rosemont. There have been times when I have had to limit myself to one a week ... It's that bad.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Portland water! It's drinkable

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Going to dinner at one of the great spots in town, meeting new friends, strolling by some windows, going home - waking up and moseying over to the Rosemont Bakery.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? Lately, I seem to find myself at Crema bumping into good people.
