Lives In Deering Highlands

Everyday is a celebration of Life, Relationship and Design. Maine's growing stewardship of preserving a healthy environment combined with a strong, established work ethic, is a combination that make a "fertile place" in which creative people can use their imaginations. Key is to develop an infrastructure that supports Designers of all things so that brilliant ideas become real, benefit a global user and are profitable. Good design is a non-polluting economic and cultural fuel.

Why did you choose Portland? A native wanting to live, work and grow children in Maine's largest and most diverse city.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Everyone who works outside of the Old Port.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Converse to learn what they are doing on the other side of the street. And to share ideas and figure out ways of getting them to stay longer.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Congress and High.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? There is not enough public art, sculptures and monuments.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Sushi at any of the Japanese restaurants.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Back cove. Why isn't there a place where someone could rent kayaks and windsurfing equipment?

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. A night of dining and dancing with close friends.

Do you have a serendipity spot? Where do you always bump into good people? The streets.
