Job Head of Product / Crystal

I'm Luke, a Native-Mainer who has worked on the internet for the past ten years. I'm currently the Head of Product @ Crystal, a venture-funded software company trying to help people communicate better through an understanding of personality differences. You can take a free personality test through our website.
When I'm not doing that, I'm also the founder of Friday Feedback. It's designed to help organizations grow and retain talent through agile performance management. I'm trying to reverse the fact that nearly 70% of the US workforce is disengaged.
When I'm not working, I create guides about things to do in Portland, Maine.
For fun, I like to read, play soccer, and hang out with my family (and dogs).
Why did you choose Portland? Portland has a great small-town feel with everything a big city offers. I used to live in Boston, and after moving here, I miss nothing. There's great coffee shops, food, and very little traffic.
Who are Portlanders you admire and why? I admire the people who build interesting things. That could be a business, art, or something else. The key thing I admire is someone's willingness to "do," not "talk about doing."
What do you like to do with out-of-towners? You have to do a brewery tour. Then stop into one of the dozens of great restaurants and tour the Old Port. If you have the time, take a trip to Peaks Island.
Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? I personally love walking across the Casco Bay Bridge. It's strange, but I love the view.
What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Frito pie at Bramhall. The breakfast sandwiches at Verbena.
I write fiction, short stories, and poetry. Lately, it's mostly haiku inspired by what I dream about at night.
Creator of tasty lobster rolls. Avid supporter of Portland's food truck scene. Passionate about good food that accessible.
