I solve Portland's creative problems by day and push the boundaries of pop art by night.

Lives In Portland

I am a sculptor and photographer with a fondness for six pack rings and toy soldiers. I am obsessed with the flash in the pan, the inexhaustible pleasure, and the endless high of what we call pop culture. I'm interested in the mechanics of how ideas, images, people, etc become popular and how long that duration is. The things that survive, like artifacts will become our culture thus leading to the equation pop = immediacy / culture = longevity.

Portland is the perfect balance of stimulation and meditation. I can find live local music/art/manufacturing happening every day. I can be out every night in the mix. Or I can walk to the Eastern Prom and be reminded by the ebb and flow of the tide just how small we are.
