Lives In Oakdale

First and foremost, I am a Mainiac. I live in the house I grew up in (built by my grandfather) with my wife and two sons. Throughout my life I have always felt like an ambassador for my city and the State of Maine. I have been a tourguide for the past 13 years, taking visitors from Portland to Kennebunk.

Professionally, I now help people have affordable access to the legal sysyem. I can be helpful to people because, although my business is local, the service is nationwide. Therefore, someone considering relocating to Maine could get assistance not only here, but in their home state as well.

I also am always willing to talk to people about the bsnefits of living here, what to do and see, and connect them to others shenexer possible.

I can be reached at coastofmaine@gmail.com

Why did you choose Portland? Used born here. I lived in Boston for a few years, but found that Portland has everything you find in most big cities, but on a more livable scale.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? Our new city manager, Jon Jennings, for his vision and enthusiasm. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow for the way he captured his home town like no other, and TV's "Alice", Linda Lavin, because she used to sing and dance on my kitchen table. (it was my grandmother's at the time).

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Take them on tours and show them the hidden gems that only locals would know about.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? Fort Allen Park, with Casco Bay and its islands spread out in front of me.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? The quantity and caliber of or restaurant community.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Lobster! My favorite place to eat them is at home. Second depends on ether I'm looking for quantity or atmosphere. Atmosphere would clearly be on the deck at Dimillo's. Quantity would be Ocean Gardens in Gorham.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? Casco Bay High School, on of the finest examples of expeditionary learning in the United States.

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Pre show snacks at Bao Bao Dumpling House, a concert by some classic'80's rock band at The State Theater, drinks at Top of the East, a walk through the Old Port, wrapping up with Bill's Pizza. Sleeping in the next morning with a cool breeze coming through the window, brunch at Marcy's filter followed by shopping at Remy's.
