Why did you choose Portland? Because it's the perfect big little city to raise my family in. Walkable, delicious food, bustling technology and art scenes. and surrounded by water and life.

Who are Portlanders you admire and why? I admire the Portlanders who bathe regularly.

What do you like to do with out-of-towners? Show off our tasty restaurants.

Where's your "happy place" on the peninsula? East End Beach, Deering Oaks Park.

What's the most surprising thing about this city? The amount of music, food, and tech in a city with such a relatively small population.

What's your favorite indulgence and where do you find it? Brunch! Current favorite spot is Pai Men Miyake.

What's the most under-appreciated place or thing in town? The bicycle trails that criss cross the city.

Describe your perfect night—and the following morning—in Portland. Going to a fun concert, hanging out at Boda Thai late, and then breakfast at Bintliff's.
